This knowledge paper delves into the reuse of rigid plastic packaging within the Fast-Moving
Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Pharmaceutical (Pharma) sectors, focusing on containers,
PET bottles and jars with capacities ranging from 0.9 to 4.9 liters/kg and 4.9 liters/kg and
above. The packaging type includes both food contact and non-food contact packaging. It
is especially pertinent in the context of the Indian government’s regulatory framework that
mandates brand owners to meet reuse targets. The study serves as an invaluable resource
